Ceiling prices for gas
Starting July 1, Kazakhstan will implement updated ceiling prices for commercial gas. Prices will vary depending on the category of consumers.
For large commercial consumers in Almaty, Almaty region, and Zhetysu, the maximum ceiling price is set at 76,686 tenge per 1,000 cubic meters (excluding VAT).
For all other categories on the domestic market, tariffs will be significantly lower. The highest price among this group will be 39,979 tenge per 1,000 cubic meters, applicable in Almaty, Almaty region, and Ulytau region.

Professional foster families to appear in Kazakhstan
Starting July 1, a new regulation on professional foster families will come into effect, approved by the Ministry of Education. It involves the temporary placement of up to four children in families who require special social services.
Kazakh citizens aged 30 to 63, who meet specific requirements, can become professional foster parents. The monthly salary for foster parents will be 70 MCI (275,240 tenge in 2025), while 10 MCI (39,320 tenge) will be allocated per child for their upkeep.

EXPO sphere in Astana to be repurposed
The Nur Alem sphere, commonly known as the EXPO sphere, will be repurposed. The government has decided to transfer the QazExpoCongress company under the authority of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry. Banks to begin submitting reports on Kazakh citizens’ accounts
Starting July 1, banks, foreign bank branches, Kazpost, and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan will begin submitting new types of reports to the National Bank regarding Kazakh citizens’ bank accounts. The reports will include data on account holders, contracts, account details, and monthly transaction summaries. While the data will be anonymized, the regulator can request IIN or BIN if needed.

Cassation courts department to be established in Kazakhstan
As of July 1, three cassation courts will begin operating in Astana—handling civil, criminal, and administrative cases. The total number of judges will be 90.
To support their work, a separate territorial body, the Cassation Courts Department, will be created.
