Tengrinews.kz - The akim (governor) of the Mangystau region, Nurdaulat Kilybay, revealed the plans for the former Presidential residence site in Aktau, according to Lada.kz.
The question about the use of the land where the former Presidential residence stood was raised during a meeting with local residents. The regional leader explained that on the 225-hectare plot, a stadium with a capacity of 10,000 seats, a mosque, playgrounds, and facilities supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses along the coast are planned to be built.
"The area has already been included in the city's master plan, and coordination and preparation for a state examination are underway. The land, located in the 'Samal' district, was returned to state ownership in the summer of 2023. The estimated value of the territory was around one billion tenge," the akim reported.
It was previously announced that on the site of the former Presidential residence in the Atyrau region, a recreational and educational camp for children will be established.
