The Marvel comic book hero surprised Kazakh viewers by showcasing traditional music on his TikTok page. In the video, Spider-Man performs the kui (traditional instrumental composition) "Balkadisha" by Akan Sery, which has garnered 300,000 views in just two days.

"Does he know his 'seven spiders'?" one TikTok user joked on the @paukazakh profile.

The man explained that he decided to pair the popular superhero's outfit with the traditional Kazakh headpiece to draw attention to Kazakh culture.

"Through a popular hero that both adults and children know, dressed in a takiya, I aim to highlight Kazakh culture and its heritage," he shared.

The Kazakh Spider-Man wished to remain anonymous, revealing only that he is from Kyzylorda but currently lives in Almaty. He is a graduate of the Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and has been working as an entertainer over the past year.

Humbly speaking about his talents, he said he is self-taught and has been playing the dombra and singing since his school days.
