‘Train, bus and Mercedes collide’: Accident at railway crossing in Taraz

Tengrinews.kz - A freight train, a Dongfeng minibus, and a Mercedes passenger car were involved in a traffic accident at a railway crossing in Taraz on May 4, according to the Zhambyl Regional Police Department.

Footage of the incident was shared by local social media pages. Emergency responders, including police and medical personnel, arrived at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that the driver and passengers of the bus were unharmed. The driver and a passenger in the Mercedes also did not require hospitalization and were released after a medical examination.

“Police officers are conducting an on-site investigation and collecting evidence. A procedural decision will be made following the examination. Necessary forensic tests have been ordered, and the vehicles have been impounded,” the statement said.
