Tengrinews.kz - According to "KazAvtoZhol," traffic restrictions for heavy transport will be implemented in eight regions of Kazakhstan.
Starting from March 1, temporary restrictions will be introduced for freight transport with an axle load exceeding 8 tons. This measure aims to preserve national highways during the spring period when road surfaces are particularly vulnerable after winter frosts.
The ban will be in effect from March 1 to April 1, 2025, in eight regions classified as the "fifth road-climatic zone":
- Almaty Region
- Atyrau Region
- Zhambyl Region
- Ulytau Region
- Kyzylorda Region
- Mangystau Region
- Zhetysu Region
- Turkestan Region
The restrictions do not apply to:
- International cargo and passenger transportation
- Vehicles involved in emergency response
- Transport carrying humanitarian aid, food, medicine, and passengers
- Machinery used for road construction
Owners of freight transport are advised to take these restrictions into account when planning routes to avoid delays and potential fines.
