Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has ratified an agreement with Turkey, according to a statement from the Akorda press service.
The Head of State signed the law on the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on Cooperation in Plant Quarantine and Protection.
The full text of the law will be published in official media.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in phytosanitary security and prevent the spread of quarantine pests. It includes provisions for exchanging regulatory documents, sharing information on phytosanitary conditions, and fostering scientific collaboration between specialized institutions in both countries.
The agreement applies to all quarantine-controlled materials, including plants, soil, packaging, and transport containers. It also establishes requirements for imported goods, certification, and transit procedures.
