Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev personally saw off Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Astana airport as he concluded his state visit to Kazakhstan, according to the Akorda press service.

A guard of honor was assembled at the airport for the occasion.

Kazakh artist Assel Sabyrzhankyzy presented the Russian leader with a painting created in honor of his visit. The artwork symbolizes the friendship between the two nations.

On November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kazakhstan for a state visit. As part of the visit, high-level talks between the two countries were held. The heads of state also participated via video conference in the Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.

On November 28, a session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council took place in Astana under the chairmanship of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Delegations from member states discussed issues of regional and international security and adopted several documents.
