Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), citing the Akorda press service.
During the talks, the two discussed the current operations and future development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
President Tokayev was briefed on preparations for the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum and the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, both scheduled to take place in Minsk on June 26-27.
Tokayev previously met with Sagintayev in December 2024 to discuss the EAEU's progress and future prospects.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev assumed the role of Chairman of the EEC Board in February 2024.
Previously, the Ministry of Trade and Integration announced that Kazakhstan intended to position itself as a logistics hub of the EAEU.
