Tengrinews.kz – The Head of State received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, who arrived in Astana on an official visit.
Welcoming the Hungarian diplomat, the President noted the high level of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Hungary. The progressive development of high-level political dialogue, as well as active intergovernmental interaction, were emphasized.
"Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed satisfaction with the dynamic implementation of the agreements signed during his state visit to Budapest last year. According to him, their consistent implementation will contribute to further deepening of the comprehensive partnership. The Head of State conveyed greetings and best wishes to the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban," the press service of Akorda notes.
Peter Szijjarto also conveyed warm greetings from the Prime Minister of Hungary to the President.
The Minister informed the Head of State that his visit to Astana is aimed at a substantive discussion with relevant ministries and departments of various aspects of the practical implementation of agreements previously reached at the highest level.
During the meeting, the interlocutors considered a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda, paying special attention to expanding mutually beneficial ties in the trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as in the energy and banking sectors.
In addition, an exchange of views on current international issues took place.
At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Peter Szijjarto The Order of Friendship, II degree, for his contribution to the development of Kazakh-Hungarian relations.
