Tengrinews.kz - On Thursday, May 28, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks in narrow and expanded formats, citing the 24.kz.
The leaders will discuss the current state and prospects for the development of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as issues of trade and economic cooperation, energy, industrial cooperation and humanitarian ties.
The parties plan to pay special attention to integration processes in the Eurasian space. On May 28, an economic forum with the participation of leaders of EAEU member states will be held in Astana.
On Friday, May 29, Tokayev and Putin will take part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, where the leaders of the member states will discuss further areas of cooperation and key integration projects.
Putin visited Kazakhstan on a state visit in November 2024. Later, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited Russia. In addition, the presidents met on the sidelines of CIS and EAEU summits, including in St. Petersburg, and maintained telephone contacts. Their latest in-person meeting took place on May 9 in Moscow at events dedicated to Victory Day.
