Tengrinews.kz – Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAAT) has announced tighter checks at airports, according to Thai PBS World.
As the outlet reports, the Thai authorities have decided to update security protocols in line with recommendations from ICAO (the International Civil Aviation Organization). The goal is straightforward: to make flights as safe as possible and bring local airport operations up to global standards. Automated screening of baggage and passengers will now be more thorough.
According to the notice, passengers are advised to prepare their belongings for inspection in advance:
- remove watches, hats and jackets;
- remove belts;
- take off high-heeled shoes;
- place all these items in trays before going through security.
The authority also recommended that passengers calmly comply with all security procedures — personal inspection, metal detector or body scanner. This will help travellers pass control more quickly and avoid holding up the line.
