“Swimming season“ in Southern Kazakhstan: Residents celebrate “winter summer”

Videos of warm sunny weather in Shymkent are being widely distributed on social networks. Residents are wearing light clothes – they took shorts and T-shirts out of their closets and cleaned the streets of dirt. And the especially impatient ones even went swimming in the city’s reservoirs.

The snow has completely melted on the streets and grass is sprouting. Residents say that spring has begun.
