Tengrinews.kz - Six citizens of Kazakhstan have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing tense humanitarian situation, with coordination from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kazakh diplomatic missions in Jordan and Israel, according to the MFA press service.

Diplomats successfully transported the Kazakh nationals across border checkpoints and brought them to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, from where they flew back to Kazakhstan.

“This operation was made possible thanks to constructive cooperation with the Jordanian authorities and serves as a clear demonstration that protecting the rights and interests of Kazakh citizens abroad remains one of the top priorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” the ministry’s statement reads.

Kazakhstan’s embassies in Amman and Tel Aviv continue to closely monitor the situation in the region and maintain constant contact with Kazakh citizens remaining in the Gaza Strip and in Palestine as a whole, the MFA added.

The foreign ministry also expressed gratitude to the authorities of Jordan and Israel, as well as to the International Committee of the Red Cross, for their prompt assistance and constructive cooperation in ensuring the safe evacuation of Kazakh citizens.

Earlier in June, Kazakh citizens were also evacuated from Iran amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
