Tengrinews.kz – On the morning of May 20, a traffic accident occurred on the Almaty–Yekaterinburg highway, two kilometers from the "Kairak" border post, resulting in the deaths of six foreign nationals.
According to the Kostanay Region Police Department, a minibus carrying 10 passengers collided with a truck.
“As a result of the accident, six people died at the scene, and five others with various injuries were taken to the Karabalyk District Hospital,” the department’s press service reported.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 4 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code: "Violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence."
“A crime scene investigation team is currently working at the site, and all necessary investigative procedures are being carried out,” the department added.
