Scorching heat up to 44°C and heavy rains forecast across Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a weather forecast for July 10-12.

Heat in the west, storms everywhere else

According to forecasters, dry and extremely hot weather is expected in western Kazakhstan due to the influence of an anticyclone. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be affected by atmospheric fronts, bringing rain, thunderstorms, and in some areas, hail and strong, gusty winds.

Heavy rainfall is most likely:

• in central regions,
• in the southeast on July 10-11,
• in the north and east on July 11-12.

Temperature outlook

In the west and southwest of the country, daytime highs are expected to soar to 40–44°C. In the north, daytime temperatures will drop from 22–27°C to 17–23°C. In the east, temperatures will range between 20 and 28°C. The south will see a gradual increase from 25–37°C to extreme heat of 38–43°C, while in the southeast, daytime highs will reach 25–30°C.

Kazhydromet released the weather forecast for July 2025 in Kazakhstan. July will be marked by unstable weather. Most regions are expected to see rain, including heavy showers, along with thunderstorms, hail, and squally winds.

In the south of the country, intense and extreme heat is forecast. In some areas, dust storms are possible. The fire hazard level remains critical in these regions.
