"I have been waking up and going to sleep with my daughter's name in my mind all these months. Salta is always in my thoughts and in every cell of my body. The pain in my soul is now an inseparable part of my remaining life; they took away the sun and the soul of our home.
At a meeting in Astana with mothers who have also lost their children, I experienced the full range of feelings and emotions and was once again convinced that my Salta is in heaven. She smiles in a light dress and helps us from there, so that I, her father, and brother can continue to live. Whether at the meeting, in the comments, or wherever I go, people come up to me, hug me, and tell me how much they love Salta and our family. I sincerely thank everyone for all the support we still receive!" wrote Zhumagul Nukenova. She accompanied the post with memorable photos of her daughter.

On May 13 in Astana, the trial concluded regarding the murder of Saltanat Nukenova, which took place on November 9, 2023. Former Minister of Economy of Kazakhstan Kuandyk Bishimbayev was found guilty of torturing and murdering his wife. He was sentenced to 24 years in prison. Following this, Bishimbayev and his brother Bakhytzhan Baizhanov have appealed their prison sentences following their convictions in the high-profile murder case of Saltanat Nukenova.
