Tengrinews.kz - Information about a sale of lost or forgotten suitcases at Almaty airport is being spread on social networks. The information being spread says that as part of the “charity event,” unclaimed luggage is being sold for only 1099 tenge.

Tengrinews.kz - Information about a sale of lost or forgotten suitcases at Almaty airport is being spread on social networks. The information being spread says that as part of the “charity event,” unclaimed luggage is being sold for only 1099 tenge.

We contacted the press service of the Almaty International Airport to confirm the information. As it turned out, there is no sale of unclaimed baggage there. And the information spread on social networks is fraudulent.

"Regarding the information spread on social networks about the sale of lost suitcases, the Almaty International Airport reports that this information is not reliable. Almaty Airport does not hold any promotions or auctions of this kind. Be vigilant and beware of scammers!" the press service of the Almaty International Airport said.
