According to the Department of Emergency Situations of the West Kazakhstan region, due to heavy snowmelt, meltwater overflowed a low-lying section of an intra-city road in the Saryarka district of Uralsk, connecting two neighborhoods.

Authorities noted that traffic has not been disrupted and there is no threat to residents.

Emergency services are working at the scene, using motor pumps to drain the water. Police officers and representatives of local executive bodies are also involved in the response efforts.
