Tengrinews.kz - An earthquake was recorded in Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu region, according to the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The tremor was registered at 7:51 p.m. Astana time on May 27, 2025, by the network of seismic stations operated by the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research.
The epicenter was located within Kazakhstan, in the Zhetysu region.
According to preliminary data, the tremor was felt at an intensity of 2 points at the Kapal-Arasan sanatorium station (health resort).
“There have been no reports of casualties or damage,” the ministry's press service said.
Earlier, an earthquake occurred near Taldykorgan.
