According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, an accident occurred between Kosshy and the Urker residential area. Emergency Department employees from Astana towed four cars to a safe section of the road.

Additionally, near the village of Kabanbay Batyr in the Akmola region, they evacuated a man born in 1959 from a broken-down car trapped in the snow.

"The driver did not require medical assistance," the agency noted.

Later, while patrolling near the village of Karazhar, Emergency Department workers towed two cars stuck in snowdrifts to a cleared section of the road. No injuries were reported, the department added.

Rescuers strongly advised Kazakhstanis to refrain from leaving populated areas when a storm warning is issued.
