Tengrinews.kz - Almaty rescuers evacuated an injured tourist from an altitude of more than 3,000 meters in the Mynzhylki Plateau, citing the city’s Department of Emergency Situations.
A 19-year-old young man fell from a rock in the Mynzhylki Plateau in Almaty’s Medeu district and sustained injuries. The incident occurred during the descent from Peak Malysh at an altitude of 3,020 meters. The young man was part of a tourist group.
“Emergency Ministry officers who arrived at the scene quickly found the injured man, provided him with first aid and began the evacuation. After being transported to a safe place, the tourist was handed over to a team from the Emergency Ministry’s Disaster Medicine Center,” the department said.
Rescuers escorted three other members of the group to a safe place. They did not require medical assistance.
