Tengrinews.kz - In Aktau, the newly renovated staircase near the regional akimat (local government administration) will undergo repairs once more.
Residents of Aktau complained on social media about poor-quality reconstruction work on the staircase in the 14th microdistrict, located next to the regional akimat building.
In the footage shared online, large gaps can be seen between the tiles. The author of the video expressed outrage: “Who approved this kind of work?”

According to Lada.kz, the landscaping work was carried out by the company SMK-Atameken. The reconstruction took place in June and July of this year, and the facility was officially put into operation.
Previously, the staircase had been covered with ceramic tiles, which became hazardous for pedestrians during winter. Because of this, a decision was made to replace the surface with paving stones.
After the video complaints appeared, the akimat issued an official warning to the contractor.
“Within the warranty period, the contracting organization will take measures to eliminate the identified shortcomings and fully restore the staircase,” — the press service of the akimat stated.
Residents of Aktau note that this staircase has long been problematic. Even last year, locals filmed its dilapidated condition, with metal rods sticking out, cracks, holes, and displaced slabs. At that time, people said it was unsafe to use the stairs, especially for children.
