Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan’s Embassy in Russia will no longer accept citizenship renunciation documents by mail.

According to the diplomatic mission, starting from March 1, 2025, the consular section of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation will stop the temporary acceptance of citizenship renunciation documents by mail, a practice introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Document submission will be carried out in person. We inform you that the number of appointment slots will be increased," the statement reads.

Appointments at the consular section of Kazakhstan’s Embassy can be scheduled via the following link.

Earlier, in January, Kazakhstan’s Embassy in the United States issued a statement regarding the tightening of U.S. immigration policies aimed at strengthening border security and reducing illegal migration. The diplomatic mission urged Kazakhstanis in the United States to comply with the current requirements of American authorities.
