Tengrinews.kz – The National Security Committee (NSC) of Kazakhstan has stated that an allegedly official press release about the creation of a Telegram bot to collect information on certain individuals is a fake.
The claim concerns individuals who are boycotting the “Immortal Regiment” event.
“A so-called ‘official statement of the NSC press service’ is circulating on social media, alleging the creation of a Telegram bot to collect data on individuals spreading anti-patriotic rhetoric, calling for a boycott of the ‘Immortal Regiment’ event, or engaging in other actions aimed at dividing society,” the statement said.
The NSC confirmed that this ‘statement’ is fake, the information presented in it is false, and they urged citizens to trust only official sources and avoid spreading misinformation.
Kazakhstanis were also reminded that all official NSC statements are published on the committee’s official websites and social media accounts.
