The Ministry of Transport has shared several useful recommendations for those who have already decided on their holiday plans.
Book tickets in advance
"It’s recommended to start looking for airline tickets at least 2-3 months before the intended departure date. This will help passengers find tickets at more affordable prices," the Ministry of Transport advised.
Flexibility with dates
The ministry also reminded travelers to consider the risks of weather disruptions, particularly during the pre-New Year period.
"Accordingly, we recommend choosing flexible travel dates and purchasing tickets with more flexible conditions that allow rebooking without penalties," the ministry added.
Pay attention to fare conditions
It's important to carefully review the terms when purchasing airline tickets and to be vigilant. Make sure not to make any mistakes with dates.
"When purchasing a ticket, pay attention to the fare conditions, especially baggage and hand luggage rules. If you need to transport oversized baggage or multiple pieces of luggage, we recommend contacting the airline in advance," the Ministry of Transport noted.
Book connecting flights in one reservation
It's preferable to purchase connecting flights within the same airline's booking, according to the Ministry of Transport.
"In case of a flight delay, it will be easier to rebook the tickets, and the risks of losing the ticket will be minimal," the ministry added.
Leave early for the airport
This simple advice should be taken into account during the pre-holiday period to ensure you have enough time to catch your flight. Don't forget to factor in time for possible traffic jams and security checks.
"Given the high demand for air travel during the pre-New Year and New Year period, we recommend arriving at the airport in advance to ensure smooth passage through all pre-flight procedures," the Ministry of Transport summarized.
