Tengrinews.kz - Starting in early January, Turkestan has seen an increase in the number of flights, providing residents with more travel options.
The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan reported that the city has become more accessible for both tourists and residents from different regions of the country.
"To improve flight availability and promote domestic tourism, Qazaq Air has launched two subsidized routes to Turkestan. Flights from Kostanay started on January 4, while flights from Karaganda will begin on January 13. Additionally, a new route from Astana to Turkestan is set to launch on January 13," the statement reads.
New routes: schedule and ticket prices
Kostanay – Turkestan
Flights on this route began on January 4 and operate twice a week – on Mondays and Saturdays.
Departure times:
- IQ 361 Kostanay (3:00 P.M.) – Turkestan (5:20 P.M.)
- IQ 362 Turkestan (5:50 P.M.) – Kostanay (8:00 P.M.)
Ticket price: 31,000 tenge one way.
Karaganda – Turkestan
Flights will commence on January 13, operating twice a week – on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Departure times:
- Mondays:
IQ 441 Turkestan (09:50 A.M.) – Karaganda (11:40 A.M.)
IQ 442 Karaganda (12:20 P.M.) – Turkestan (2:00 P.M.)
- Wednesdays:
IQ 441 Turkestan (12:10 P.M.) – Karaganda (2:00 P.M.)
IQ 442 Karaganda (2:40 P.M.) – Turkestan (4:40 P.M.)
Ticket price: 20,000 tenge one way.
Astana – Turkestan
Flights between the capital and Turkestan will also begin on January 13, with departures twice a week – on Mondays and Wednesdays.

IQ 369 Astana (07:05 A.M.) – Turkestan (09:05 A.M.)
IQ 370 Turkestan (2:40 P.M.) – Astana (4:55 P.M.)
- Wednesdays:
IQ 369 Astana (09:50 A.M.) – Turkestan (11:40 A.M.)
IQ 370 Turkestan (5:20 P.M.) – Astana (7:20 P.M.)
Ticket price: starting at 17,000 tenge one way.
Additionally, children under 14 years old can receive a 50 percent discount on subsidized flights, according to the ministry.
