Tengrinews.kz - Prosecutors have returned 14 land plots worth a total of 100 million tenge to state ownership in the Alakol district of the Zhetysu region.
The land had not been used effectively, and the regional akimat (local government administration) failed to take timely action to reclaim it after temporary land-use rights had expired.
Prosecutors identified 14 such plots, covering a total area of 1,655 hectares, that were subject to return to the state.
Earlier, the Prosecutor's Office secured the return of 42,000 hectares of unused land plots to state ownership in the Abai region.
