Tengrinews.kz - The Anti-Corruption Agency has introduced a new way for Kazakhstanis to report bribery.

The agency announced the launch of a new WhatsApp chatbot, "ANTIKOR 1424."

"Now, any citizen can report corruption or receive anti-corruption advice via WhatsApp. To do so, simply send a message to +7 777 000 1424," the statement said.

What can you do through the "ANTIKOR 1424" WhatsApp chatbot?

The chatbot allows users to report corruption and receive consultations on anti-corruption matters. Notably, those who provide verified information about corruption offenses can receive a reward of up to 15.7 million tenge.

"We guarantee complete confidentiality. All messages will be reviewed, and if violations are found, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the law. However, we remind you that knowingly providing false information about corruption is a criminal offense," the agency added.

Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Agency stated that Kazakhstanis will be punished for offering or promising a bribe. Such a measure is contained in a new bill on combating corruption.
