What happened

The editorial office has been receiving complaints from Kcell mobile operator users stating that they have stopped receiving SMS messages with confirmation codes for financial transactions.

According to subscribers, the problem is especially noticeable when trying to log in or confirm a transaction in mobile banking applications and government services.

“Kcell has stopped delivering SMS with transaction confirmation codes, particularly from Otbasy Bank. I’ve been waiting for my SMS for several hours. Can you find out the reason?” readers told us.

What the operator says

We contacted the mobile operator for a comment on the situation.

“Indeed, at the moment we are experiencing delays in delivering some SMS messages with confirmation codes from certain services, including Otbasy Bank. Our technical specialists are already working to identify and fix the cause. We apologize for the inconvenience and will make every effort to restore stable message delivery as soon as possible,” the company told us.

The cause of the disruption was technical malfunctions in the operator’s system. The company clarified that specialists are already addressing the issue, and SMS with confirmation codes will be restored in the near future.
