Tengrinews.kz - A woman in Kostanay has been fined for displaying an obscene sticker on her car, citing the city’s specialized administrative court.
On June 10, authorities found a sticker containing profanity on the woman's vehicle.
She claimed the message was intended to raise awareness about road safety and prevent accidents. According to her, such warning phrases are commonly seen on trucks and are not meant to be offensive.
However, the court disagreed. Since the vehicle was being driven through city streets and the message was visible to the public, the court deemed it a display of disrespect toward society and a violation of public order.
As a result, the woman was found guilty and fined 20 MCI (Monthly Calculation Index), which amounts to 78,640 tenge.
The court's decision has not yet taken legal effect.
