Tengrinews.kz - Police stopped a passenger car in which the driver was transporting a live horse in the Karaganda region.
An unusual "passenger" in the Audi was noticed by patrol police officers of the Nura district on the Nura-Temirtau highway. When they stopped the car, they found a live horse in the back seat. The animal was lying peacefully with its head out of the window.
As it turned out, the driver was a resident of the Bukhar-Zhyrau district. He could not explain why he had shoved the horse into the car and where he was taking it. The driver also did not have documents for the animal.
"An administrative protocol was drawn up against the violator for failure to comply with the rules for transporting cargo, and the materials were transferred to the veterinary inspection. Now the police are finding out who owns the horse and whether it is connected with previously committed cattle thefts," the press service of the Karaganda region police department reported.
They also added that the operational and preventive measures "Cattle thief" have been underway in the region since October 7. During the entire operational and preventive measures, 37 cases of illegal transportation of cattle and products have been identified.
