Tengrinews.kz – Due to the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East and the high level of threat to civil aviation safety, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan has imposed a complete ban on flights over several countries.
Flights are prohibited within and near the airspace of Iran, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon until further notice.
“This directive applies to all scheduled and non-scheduled passenger, cargo, and technical flights by Kazakhstani aircraft operators. The directive comes into effect upon receipt and is subject to mandatory compliance,” the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee reported.
If the situation in the region changes, additional information will be provided by the aviation security department of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, several media outlets reported that Flydubai had canceled dozens of flights departing from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Tatarstan, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. This decision is linked to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
