Tengrinews.kz – New details have emerged regarding the launch of direct flights from Kazakhstan to New York. According to the Ministry of Transport, the first flight is not expected before late 2026.
Earlier, media reports suggested that Kazakhstan had postponed the launch of direct flights to New York. It was stated that New York flights are planned for 2027, while direct flights to Tokyo, Rome, Vienna, and Singapore may begin as early as 2026.
Tengrinews.kz clarified the information with the Ministry’s press service:
“In her remarks, Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee Saltanat Tompiyeva highlighted the steady growth of the country’s aviation sector across all key areas: passenger traffic, infrastructure, flight safety, and international cooperation. Plans include launching direct flights to Tokyo, Rome, Vienna, and Singapore in 2026, and to New York at the end of 2026,” the ministry stated.
