Kazakh woman wanted for fraud was detained at Bishkek airport

Tengrinews.kz - A woman suspected of large-scale fraud has been detained in Kyrgyzstan, according to Polisia.kz.

According to the report, the 26-year-old woman, who was on the wanted list, was apprehended at Manas International Airport at the request of the National Central Bureau of Interpol under Kazakhstan's Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"In the summer of 2023, she, along with a group of individuals, stole funds from clients of a bank through a mobile banking application. The damage amounted to over 237 million tenge," the statement said.

Earlier, a foreigner on the international wanted list was detained in Kazakhstan.
