Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov outlined a range of issues that the Government has to attend to in the coming years. In particular, these are the country's competitiveness, private business, industries, healthcare and education, online-conference at Zakon.kz. “During the crisis we could not achieve the task of becoming top 50 competitive countries in the world and even moved away from it. I think our work should be focused on moving forward,” Massimov said. Prime-Minister also told about one of the ways to solve this issue: “We have to provide opportunities to Kazakhstan citizens to get a piece of the economy's pie. Millions of our people have to own shares in state resources. To make this happen we will select the companies that will become more expensive shortly. It is clear that not everyone can be entrepreneurs, but we have to give the opportunity to people,” he added. According to Massimov, this will boost development of Kazakhstan stock exchange. The Government is currently studying this issue and reviewing the experience of other countries. Speaking about government-run enterprisers, Massimov said: “We have to continue paying attention to our industries and do everything possible to promote their development.” Besides, Prime-Minister thinks that during the years of his work in the Government the country has made a big step in development of healthcare and education, but there are still many unsolved issues in these areas.
