Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Aktobe today and laid flowers at the memorial complex dedicated to Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova, according to a statement from Akorda.
This year, Kazakhstan is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the celebrated daughter of the Kazakh people.

President Tokayev honored the memory of Aliya Moldagulova with a moment of silence.

Afterward, the President met with representatives of the Aktobe Region’s public.
“Aliya Moldagulova is a brave daughter of the Kazakh nation. Today I came especially to honor her memory on the occasion of her 100th anniversary. I express my gratitude to all of you. We must actively promote Aliya’s name both in our country and abroad. Aliya is a valiant daughter of the Kazakh people and our pride. Her bright image will forever remain in our memory,” – said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of State emphasized that in today’s unstable times, it is important to maintain cohesion and unity.
It was earlier reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is participating in the international youth military-patriotic gathering "Aibyn" in Aktobe.
The Aibyn gathering is taking place at the VISVO field camp, bringing together over 50 teams from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. The participants are aged between 14 and 18.
The event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Aliya Moldagulova and the 80th anniversary of Victory. Its goal is to unite young people, introduce them to history, and hold military-sports competitions. The participants are living in tents with all necessary conditions provided.
For reference, in December 2024, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Aktobe Region on a working trip. At that time, he toured several industrial enterprises and was briefed on the activities of social institutions in the region.
