Tengrinews.kz - How many foreigners are working as of December 1, 2024, reported the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
According to the Ministry, 13 743 foreign citizens are legally working in Kazakhstan.
Permits for hiring foreign citizens to work are divided into several categories, of which:
- The first category: managers and their deputies - 564 people
- The second category: heads of structural divisions - 2585 people
- The third category: specialists - 4913 people
- The fourth category: skilled workers - 999 people
In addition, according to the department, 1186 people are involved in seasonal work, and 3496 people are involved in corporate transfers.
The largest number of them work in the construction sector (5390 people), manufacturing (1455 people), as well as mining and administrative services (about 1300 people).
The main countries of origin of labor migrants are: China - 4881 people, Uzbekistan - 1273 people, Turkey - 1203 people, India - 1095 people.
A casino may open for foreign citizens in the Mangystau region. Citizens of Kazakhstan will be prohibited from entering. This was announced by the akim of the region at a briefing in the CCS. More details at the link.
