Tengrinews.kz - Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Astana, citing the Akorda press service.
The press office of the Head of State released footage of the official airport welcome for the Chinese leader. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev personally greeted Xi Jinping upon his arrival.
A guard of honor was lined up at the foot of the aircraft’s steps.
Children waving the flags of Kazakhstan and China welcomed the distinguished guest.
President Xi Jinping has arrived in Kazakhstan for a two-day official visit at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the visit, the two leaders are expected to hold high-level bilateral talks focused on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China.
On June 17, Astana will host the second “Central Asia – China” summit, with the participation of heads of state from across the region.
