Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have issued the weather forecast for May 7, 8, and 9.
Rainy holiday period
According to the forecast, rainy weather is expected across most of Kazakhstan during the holidays, with rain, thunderstorms, possible hail, and squally wind gusts.
“On May 7–9, heavy rains are expected in the western regions, and on May 8–9 in the northern regions. In the southern regions, short-term rain and thunderstorms are forecast against a background of high temperatures, while in the eastern regions rain and thunderstorms will begin only on May 9,” the statement said.
What about temperatures?
Daytime temperatures across Kazakhstan will vary noticeably by region:
- in the west of Kazakhstan — 18 to 28°C;
- in the north — dropping to 18 to 23°C;
- in the center — dropping to 20 to 28°C;
- in the south and southeast — dropping to 28 to 33°C;
- in the east — rising to 25 to 30°C.
