Hail and heavy rain: Storm warning issued across Kazakhstan

In the southern and mountainous areas of the Almaty region, thunderstorms are forecast. Winds from the southeast shifting to the northwest in the central, southern, and mountainous parts of the region will gust up to 15–20 m/s. In the northern and central areas of the region, an extreme fire hazard will persist, while in the south and east, there will be a high fire hazard. In Konaev, southeast winds shifting to northwest are expected, with gusts of 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will remain in place.

At night in the north of the Turkestan region, thunderstorms are expected. In the north and west of the region, a dust storm is forecast. Northwesterly winds in the north, west, and mountainous areas of the region will reach 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard persists.

In Shymkent, northwesterly winds are expected to gust 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will continue. In Turkestan, a dust storm is expected. Northwesterly winds will gust 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will continue.

That same day, in the west, north, and east of the Karaganda region, occasional heavy rain and squalls are expected. At night in the west, north, and east of the region, thunderstorms are likely, with thunderstorms continuing during the day. At night in the west and north, hail is possible; during the day in the west, north, and east, hail may also occur. Southwesterly to westerly winds in the morning and afternoon in the west, north, and east of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. Southwesterly winds in the west, north, and south of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. A high fire hazard will remain in the northwest of the region. In Kokshetau, thunderstorms and daytime hail are expected.

In the Atyrau region, westerly and northwesterly winds at night in the north of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. A high fire hazard will continue in the south of the region.

In the morning and afternoon in the west, north, and south of the Abay region, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are forecast. Southeasterly to southerly winds in the morning and afternoon in the west, north, and south of the region will reach 15–20 m/s, with local gusts up to 25 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will persist in the south of the region. In Semey, thunderstorms and hail are expected during the day. Southeasterly to southerly winds during the day will gust 15–20 m/s.

During the day in the north, east, and south of the East Kazakhstan region, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are forecast. Southeasterly winds shifting to southwesterly during the day in the north, east, and south of the region will reach 15–20 m/s, with local gusts up to 23 m/s. In Ust-Kamenogorsk, thunderstorms and hail are expected during the day. Southeasterly winds during the day will gust 15–20 m/s.

At night in the west, north, and east of the North Kazakhstan region, thunderstorms are forecast. During the day, thunderstorms will continue, with heavy rain and hail expected in the southeast of the region. Easterly and southeasterly winds during the day in the west, north, and east of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. In Petropavlovsk, thunderstorms are expected. Easterly and southeasterly winds during the day will gust 15–20 m/s.

In the north, south, and central parts of the Kyzylorda region, a dust storm is forecast. Westerly and northwesterly winds in the north, south, and center of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will persist. In Kyzylorda, a daytime dust storm is expected, with westerly winds gusting to 15 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will continue.

In the northwest, southwest, and central parts of the Mangystau region, a high fire hazard will remain.

In the Zhetysu region, northwesterly and westerly winds in the northeast and central parts of the region will gust 15–20 m/s, and in the Alakol lake area up to 23–28 m/s. In Taldykorgan on June 29, westerly winds will gust 15–20 m/s.

In the west and north of the Kostanay region, heavy rain is expected. Thunderstorms, as well as daytime hail and squalls in the west and north, are forecast. Northwesterly winds in the west and north of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will persist in the south of the region. In the city of Kostanay, thunderstorms are expected.

During the day in the west of the West Kazakhstan region, thunderstorms are expected.

At night in the north and mountainous areas of the Zhambyl region, thunderstorms are expected. Northwesterly winds in the southwest, northeast, and mountainous parts of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will persist throughout the region, with a high fire hazard in the east. In Taraz, northwesterly winds during the day will gust 15–20 m/s. An extreme fire hazard will remain.

At night in the west and south of the Pavlodar region, thunderstorms are expected, with additional thunderstorms during the day. Hail and squalls are forecast in the west and north of the region. Southerly winds during the day in the west and south of the region will gust 15–20 m/s. In Pavlodar, thunderstorms are expected during the day.
