Tengrinews.kz - Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has urged parents across Kazakhstan to closely monitor their children's safety during graduation season.

This year, more than 200,000 students are completing school in Kazakhstan. Speaking at a government meeting, Bektenov emphasized the importance of ensuring safety during final exams, last bell ceremonies, and graduation parties, noting that the risk of incidents tends to increase during this period.

"I would also like to address parents: please take responsibility for supervising your children during graduation celebrations—and more importantly, during the summer holidays," Bektenov said.

He stressed that parental involvement plays a crucial role in shaping children’s values and behavior.

"It is your attention, guidance, and engagement in your children’s lives that will have the most lasting impact. Morality, social conduct, and patriotism are first taught at home. No government body can replace the care and involvement of a parent," he added.

The Prime Minister also called for stronger cooperation in raising responsible, educated, and patriotic citizens and instructed state agencies to ensure order and safety for children throughout the summer break.

Previously, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced a change in the date of the last school bell ceremony.
