Tengrinews.kz - Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev announced that four new foreign low-cost airlines will launch flights from Kazakhstan.
Speaking at a government meeting, Lastayev discussed the development of Kazakhstan’s international air connections. Currently, there are 119 routes connecting the country to 33 countries and 58 cities.
"Last year, 12 new routes were opened across six cities, adding to 222 international destinations. This year, we plan to introduce 16 more routes, including flights to Rome, Munich, Budapest, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Busan, and others. The arrival of four new low-cost carriers in Kazakhstan’s international market will expand affordable travel options for passengers," Lastayev said.
Earlier, Tengrinews.kz reported on new flight routes to various global cities.
In February, it was also announced that flights between Almaty and major Chinese cities would increase, including a new Almaty–Chengdu route.
