Tengrinews.kz - A flight from Astana to Aktau was unable to reach its destination and returned to the capital’s airport.
"On February 23, 2025, during flight FS 7375 on the Astana–Aktau route, a passenger’s backpack caught fire in the overhead compartment," FlyArystan’s press service reported.
According to the airline, the fire was quickly extinguished. There were 182 passengers on board at the time of the incident.
"The aircraft returned to the departure airport, and landing was carried out in normal mode. Additional information will be provided after all circumstances are clarified. The flight has been rescheduled for 5:10 PM Astana time," the airline stated.
Earlier, a plane took off from Almaty for Karaganda but failed to reach its destination.
