Tengrinews.kz — The dollar exchange rate established during trading in Kazakhstan on July 13 has been reported.
Following day trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), the weighted average dollar exchange rate stood at 477.11 tenge, an increase of 8.94 tenge. The official National Bank exchange rate for July 13 is 464.71 tenge per dollar.
Average dollar exchange rates at Almaty currency exchanges:
- buy – 471.83 tenge;
- sell – 474.65 tenge.
Average dollar exchange rates at Astana currency exchanges:
- buy – 471.08 tenge on average;
- sell – 478.08 tenge.
As a reminder, as of July 1, the National Bank has implemented a "mirroring" mechanism. It provides for the gradual sale of foreign currency from the National Fund instead of large one-time operations. The National Bank expects that this will smooth out the impact of budget transfers on the foreign exchange market, make the tenge's dynamics more stable, and prevent sharp fluctuations in the exchange rate.
