“Air Astana informs that from 12 January to 13 March 2026, due to operational requirements, flights KC345/KC346 on the Astana–Ust-Kamenogorsk–Astana route are cancelled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.”

The message sparked concern among users who assumed this meant a full suspension of flights between the two cities.

What the airline says

In response to Tengrinews' inquiry, Air Astana explained that the schedule adjustment is part of a seasonal optimisation of its network.

“Flight frequency to several destinations has been reduced. Between 12 January and 13 March 2026, the number of flights from Astana to Ust-Kamenogorsk will decrease from seven to four per week,” the airline said.

The cancelled flights affect services KC345/KC346 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

All affected passengers have been rebooked on flights operating Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, the company added.

“Rebooking and ticket refunds are processed without penalties,” Air Astana’s press service confirmed.
