Tengrinews.kz - Meteorologists have issued a forecast for the weather in Kazakhstan over the next three days, December 7, 8, and 9.
Due to the influence of a northern cyclone, unstable weather is expected in most regions of the country. Snowfall is forecasted, with heavy snow and blizzards possible in the eastern regions. Southern areas will experience rain transitioning into snow, and strong precipitation is anticipated in the mountainous zones. Central, southern, and eastern regions are likely to encounter icy conditions. Meanwhile, the Scandinavian anticyclone will bring dry weather to the western and northwestern regions.
"Gradual temperature drops are expected: nighttime temperatures will fall to -5°C to -13°C in the west, -13°C to -25°C in the northwest, -20°C to -25°C in the north, -15°C to -28°C in central Kazakhstan, -18°C to -26°C in the eastern regions, and -8°C to -21°C in the southern and southeastern areas," according to the statement.
Previously, meteorologists clarified the winter forecast for 2024/2025 in Kazakhstan. It is expected that, overall, the temperature regime will be within the climatic norm, with precipitation levels exceeding the long-term average. However, periods of no precipitation and abnormally low temperatures cannot be ruled out.
