Tengrinews.kz – Almaty police have been switched to an enhanced duty mode in anticipation of the upcoming holidays to ensure public safety.
The city’s police department confirmed the decision, with Chief Arystangani Zappayev outlining key tasks for personnel — maintaining law and order, strengthening preventive measures, and responding swiftly to any violations.
Special attention will be given to patrolling areas with large crowds, traffic safety, preventing juvenile delinquency, and addressing violations related to alternative transportation.
In addition, an operational-preventive campaign titled "Law and Order" has been launched in the city. This includes reinforced foot and vehicle patrols, the involvement of K9 units, and increased presence from public order and operational services.
The police are urging Almaty residents to comply with the law, remain vigilant, and report any crimes or suspicious activities immediately.
