Kazakhstani Anastasia shared why she prefers to relax in this region, especially in the fall.
"At the end of September and the beginning of October, there are few people here. There’s no active trading, no sun loungers, tourists on the beach, or a lot of garbage, noise, shouting, and the smell of burnt barbecue and corn. It's just silence, tranquility, and the beauty of our nature," she said.
She noted that finding accommodation is also much easier during this time than in summer.
"It's better to look for cabins and apartments on Booking.com or through acquaintances. Be sure to ask for videos of the room and bathroom. I like small sanatoriums that offer breakfast, especially in autumn when discounts are available. On average, a standard program for autumn weekends in Borovoe costs 40-45 thousand tenge for two: 20 thousand for a room with breakfast at Lake Shchuchye, 10 thousand for lunch at a cafe in the glade of Abylay khan with a mountain view, and 10 thousand for gasoline," she continued.

The national park's press service also provided tips and recommendations for tourists on how to relax in Borovoe.
Walks along ecological trails
The park offers routes of varying difficulty. Popular trails include those leading to Mount Kokshetau, Bolektau, the Kenesary's Cave, and the glade of Abylay khan.
Visiting museums and cultural sites
For those looking to diversify their leisure time, the park offers tours to museums and cultural sites. The nature museum and the park's ethnocultural zones will unveil new aspects of the region's history and culture, the press service noted.
Picnics
Visitors can organize picnics in specially equipped relaxation areas.
"It's pleasant to enjoy hot tea or coffee while admiring nature in autumn weather. For visitor convenience, the park has designated areas for campfires and picnics," the press service stated.

Lake fishing
For fishing enthusiasts, late autumn is an excellent time to try their luck at the park's lakes, such as Shchuchye, Borovoe, and Bolshoye Chebachye. It is advisable to obtain a fishing permit and follow ecological safety rules.
Spa retreats and sanatoriums
The areas around Burabay are home to numerous sanatoriums and spa hotels that offer wellness treatments and relaxation programs.
"This is a great way to spend autumn weekends while improving your health and enjoying nature," the press service noted.
It's important to remember that the weather in autumn can be quite unpredictable, so don't forget to bring warm clothing and shoes for long walks. However, it is not recommended to wander too far alone, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area.
"It is recommended that organized groups of park visitors be accompanied by a certified guide or tourism instructor trained in first aid. Before your trip, check the weather forecast for the intended routes. Do not set out in cases of low temperatures, stormy winds, thick fog, or heavy snowfall (visibility less than 500 meters)," the press service reported.
It is also important to remember that when visiting specially protected natural areas, you must comply with the law. Violations are subject to penalties.
"For example, violating fire safety and sanitary rules in forests results in fines: 36,920 tenge for individuals, 110,760 tenge for officials and small businesses, 184,600 tenge for medium-sized businesses, and 553,800 tenge for large businesses," the press service added.
