Sudden drop in temperatures in Kazakhstan

Over the next three days, atmospheric fronts will bring unstable weather to much of the country. Rain and thunderstorms are expected, while in the mountainous regions of eastern and southeastern Kazakhstan, precipitation may fall as rain and snow at night.

“Heavy rainfall is forecast for May 2 in the southeast, with a chance of hail. Nighttime frosts will persist in the northwest, north, central, and eastern parts of the country,” forecasters said.

Earlier, Kazhydromet explained the cause of the unusually hot weather for April in Almaty.
