Tengrinews.kz - Inspectors from Temnoborskoe Forestry and the police detained poachers in the territory of the Burabay National Park.

Illegal fishing was recorded on Lake Zhukey.

"During the inspection of a vehicle belonging to residents of Astana, inspectors found three boats, prohibited fishing gear – nets, and 122 kilograms of carp. All materials related to the violation have been handed over to the police department of the Birzhan Sal district for further investigation," the national park's statement said.

Social media users expressed outrage over yet another case of poaching.

"They need to be given real sentences," "If this is official information, the identities of the poachers should also be covered, I believe," "We need their photos!" – wrote commenters.

It is worth noting that just recently, during an inspection raid by the Temnoborskoe Forestry staff on Lake Zhukey, poachers were also discovered. Residents of the capital had caught over 600 kilograms of carp and more than 8 kilograms of crucian carp. Read more details here.
